Advanced Practice Registered Nurses

According to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) are registered nurses educated at Masters or post Masters level in a specific role and patient population.  They are educated and certified to assess, diagnose, and manage patient problems, order tests, and prescribe medications.
